these are the loves of my life (minus rachael & lauren). camille bought me a journal entitled “I CAN’T SLEEP” so i can write down the thoughts that keeps me awake. each page has the words “why i can’t sleep tonight” at the top. tonight, thoughts of the people in my life are keeping me awake. the sound of my best friends’ laughter, the yummy homemade food my parents labored over, the depth of the love that surrounds me and that i feel for these people - these are the things that will accompany me as i tiptoe to the edge of consciousness and give myself up to sleep. and i can think of no better thoughts to keep me company until i fall asleep.
